The Vice President of Food & Beverage is responsible for overseeing, guiding and assisting the food and beverage operations of the Hotels and Resorts. To provide guidance to our hotels in maximizing revenues and profits. To emphasize the development of our associates, helping them to attain their professional goals. To ensure the food and beverage operations are providing and delivering a consistent, elevated level of service and quality of product based on established company standards and customers’ expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accountable for brand standards, service initiatives, the guest experience, guest feedback trends, and actions to address issues, talent development, and retention.
  • In concert with Operations team members, develop strategic objectives and goals for the F&B discipline and ensure timely execution of these objectives into key components of the hotel’s operation at assigned hotels.
  • Ensure maximization of F&B revenues and profits by implementing well-thought-out programs and promotions.
  • Work with the procurement team to implement national purchasing contracts.
  • Promote high visibility of food & beverage within the industry and the public arena.
  • Provide regular and effective updates to the Senior Leadership team on the performance of assigned areas and the leaders in the division.
  • Actively participate in operations meetings and senior staff meetings at the corporate office; responsible for briefing corporate colleagues on noteworthy issues in assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Collaborates to create improved processes and management methods to generate higher performance.
  • Critically analyze all guest experience metrics, including but not limited to JD Powers, Medallia, Trip Advisor, Alerts, Open Table, Moments of Service/Power of Engagement execution, AES, and other indicators as they evolve.
  • Mentor talent to perpetuate the Hotels & Resorts service experience, including LID/MID/SDDP/EID/Succession Planning, and maintain a personal connection with High potential Leaders. Build effective teams.
  • Maximize associate performance and positive morale by serving as an ambassador of the Hotels & Resorts’ Core Values.
  • Assist General Managers in the selection process of F&B Directors and Executive Chefs.
  • Provide input as necessary and assist in proper menu design, content, and pricing.
  • Conduct market surveys, restaurant analysis, and feasibility studies for new properties.
  • Manage all aspects of operations for the discipline to ensure consistency within brand standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A college degree.
  • Previous experience in a Vice President or Corporate Director level role in a luxury hotel/restaurant company is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience as a General Manager in a luxury or upper upscale environment is desired.
  • 5+ years as a F&B Director is required.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving and achieving results.
  • Previous banquet and catering, a la carte management experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytic and strategic planning skills.
  • Communicates effectively and works collaboratively.
  • Strategic mindset.
  • Excellent planning, alignment, and self-awareness.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to travel.
