A prestegious full-service Ohio hotel is seeking an experienced hospitality professional to serve as the new General Manager (GM) to create and maintain a guest-driven hotel that exceeds guest expectations in all areas.

The GM will provide an atmosphere that inspires the hotel team members to do their best and oversee the quality process to ensure guest satisfaction through consistent delivery of both quality product and service in accordance with the hotel’s profitability goals while fulfilling the value requirements of the guest.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform administrative duties, including critically reviewing reports of occupancy, revenue, etc., to make judgments and implement changes to maximize profits.
  • Supervise the development of and revision to the business plan, annual budget, annual and monthly forecasts, etc.
  • Interview, hire, supervise, and counsel department managers in the efficient operation of their respective area(s). Meet with, develop, and delegate improvement plans for operation and review the performance of the management team.
  • Participate in community affairs and maintain a positive public image for the hotel.
  • Meet with potential and current clients and promote the hotel.
  • Physically tour and visually inspect the property on a daily basis.
  • Monitor cost control, property condition, cleanliness, and quality of product and service throughout the hotel.
  • Greet and maintain rapport with team members and customers.
  • Travel to attend corporate meetings and sales trips and serve on committees such as Research, Development, and Standards Committee.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College Degree or equivalent education, i.e., Hotel business college.
  • Minimum of three years experience as Executive Assistant Manager and/or Resident Manager.
  • Experience in all phases of hotel management, including sales and marketing in a first-class hotel organization, daily management of all areas of operations involving human resources, food and beverage, budget management, rooms, housekeeping, resort maintenance, landscaping and wildlife, and administration of services, i.e., water sports and optional activities.
  • Renovation experience is a plus as this hotel will be undergoing a full guestroom renovation in 2024.
  • AH & MA – Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA).
  • CPR Certification is required. First Aid training preferred.

Salary Range: $165,000+ and is eligible for a $40,000 bonus
